Biography

Shanna Collett is an attorney at Collett Law, who practices law with her husband, Matthew Collett, at the firm. Shanna was born in Orlando, Florida. Shanna received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of South Florida in 2007. Shanna moved to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2008, where she enrolled in law school at Florida Coastal School of Law.

After graduating law school, Shanna honed her legal and advocacy skills while working for a non-profit child welfare agency that advocated for foster children, and other child and family issues. Shanna continued to hone her legal and litigation skills while working at civil litigation firms handling employment claims, personal injury claims, and family law disputes. Shanna also represented insurance companies and large corporations in insurance claim disputes.

In 2019, Shanna joined Collett Law and began practicing law with her husband, Matthew Collett. While at Collett Law, Shanna primarily represents homeowners and businesses in civil disputes and lawsuits against their insurance companies for wrongfully denying or underpaying claims. Shanna's practice also includes representing injured victims and families in personal injury and wrongful death claims ranging from auto and trucking accidents, wrongful death claims, slip and fall accidents, premises liability claims, and medical malpractice claims.
